During my recent holiday in Japan, I had the pleasure of staying at Minshuku Goyomon, a charming guesthouse that truly embodies Japanese tradition. Set in the serene village of Ainokura, it features classic tatami flooring and cozy futon bedding-all the comforts of home wrapped in history. My friends and I were enchanted by the brilliantly prepared Japanese meals served in the dining area, especially the delightful charcoal grilled fish that stole our hearts. Although the shared bathroom setup might make some travelers hesitate, the cleanliness and accessibility completely won me over. We even made friends with other guests, sharing stories and sake in the cozy atmosphere-a perfect blend of comfort and cultural immersion. With a location just a stone's throw from Gokayama Onsen hot springs, it was the ideal spot to unwind after days filled with cycling and hiking through picturesque landscapes. If you seek an authentic Japanese experience in a peaceful setting, I highly recommend Minshuku Goyomon. It was a memorable stay that I'd cherish forever!
